Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Is “Closing a Chapter in Nathan Drake’s Life,” but “Never Say Never”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has been billed at the last game for Nathan Drake, but could he actually return in the future in some form?

Naughty Dog Community Strategist Arne Meyer was talking today at a livestreamed panel from EGX in Birmingham, and he had a less absolute approach when asked if the new game is really the end for Nathan Drake.

“Well, we’re definitely saying that this is closing a chapter of Nathan Drake’s life, but to quote Shu [Yoshida] from earlier today, never say never.”

It’ll be interesting to see if Uncharted 4 will really be the Thief’s End. For some reason, this brought to my mind images from the upcoming Star Wars movie, with Han Solo that isn’t the protagonist anymore, but an older and (maybe?) wiser supporting character.

“Sully, we’re home.”

A man can dream.
