After the introduction of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's villainess Nadine Ross, many fans thought that she looks a lot like actress Kandyse McClure, which incidentally is also South African like the character.Some reached out to the actress, and he mentioned that she didn't know about her likeness being specifically used for the game:

She did, though, notice that the character looks like her (you can see a picture of her at the bottom of the post, courtesy of Cliche).

At the moment, Naughty Dog did not mention having taken inspiration from McClure, so it could be a coincidence, or some form of unconscious inspiration, which happens often in character design.

A similar situation happened with Ellie in The Last of Us looking similar to Ellen Page. Apparently McClure is taking the alleged resemblance with a more positive attitude.
