Game director for Uncharted 4 Justin Richmond has left Naughty Dog to work at Riot Games, the developer announced today.

Richmond gave very little indication as to why he left his position at Naughty Dog.

Speaking to IGN, he remained positive about the company.

I have in fact made the decision to leave Naughty Dog. I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward

Richmond also stated that he was looking forward to working with League of Legends developer Riot Games.

There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can’t wait to be a part of.

Richmond was game director for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and worked on the multiplayer component of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Richmond’s departure comes just after the announcement that creative director Amy Hennig was leaving Naughty Dog.
