Today, Scott Lowe Senior Communications Manager at Naughty Dog, took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End -- specifically, its multiplayer -- is getting a new mode, some The Last of Us skins, and more this coming Friday, March 17th.

The new content will come in the 1.21 patch, and like all previous multiplayer DLC, will be available for free.

As mentioned above, the update will introduce a new permanent game mode: King of the Hill. In the mode, two teams fight for control of rotating capture points in order to reach the score limit. According to Lowe, "King of the Hill requires careful coordination and skilled use of Multiplayer’s core combat and movement systems."

But wait there's a twist: after the score limit has been reached, the losing team has one last chance to make comeback through what Naughty Dog calls the "Victory Hill." The leading team must capture the Victory Hill to win, but if the losing team takes, they get another shot.

The update will also bring new weapons, such as: the INSAS , Type-95 long guns, and a scoped Competition Pistol. It will also bring the new Savage Starlight character skins, that fans of The Last of Us might recognize. The skins are said to be inspired by the in-game comics across the world of The Last of Us.

Lastly, Lowe confirmed that no new trophies will be added. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is available exclusively for the PS4.
