During the "How to Become a Game Designer" panel at PlayStation Experience Naughty Dog's developers Doug Holder and Emilia Schatz game more information and showcased more assets about Uncharted 4: A thief's End.

  • In the demo there's an effect that makes caustics bounce around on the ceiling of the cave. If the player moves the effect will move with him. It detects if the flashlight is on.
  • A tool called charter is used to define events in a level.
  • To create the level, a blockout was created as soon as possible (a blockout is the level created with the most basic 3D elements only).
  • Every events has invisible regions that control music, lighting, animations, events and more. They trigger as Drake or NPCs pass through them.

Below you can check out the work-in-progress screenshots and videos that were showcased during the panel. You can also see the full presentation here.
