Today DualShockers attended an Uncharted: The Lost Legacy preview event, and while we couldn’t bring you with us, we still have something to show for it, in the form of of eight lovely screenshots.

The images are in full 4K resolution, captured on a PS4 Pro unit, so you get all the bells and whistles.

The area portrayed in the screenshots is called the Western Ghats (and it’s a real area located in India), and it’s similar to the Madagascar open world-ish zone in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

In the same fashion, we’ll have access to the jeep, its winch and all the off-road goodness that came with the original game.

Yet, there is a lot more than what we saw in Madagascar, since this area is “significantly larger” according to Creative Director Shaun Escayg. As a matter of fact, it’s the largest area ever portrayed in an Uncharted game.

Having seen it in motion, the vistas are really breathtaking. You can check them out for yourself in the gallery below.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy has gone gold last week, and is ready for release on August 22nd, exclusively for PS4.
