Uncover the Japanese Release Date of the Next Professor Layton Title

on January 8, 2013 9:30 PM

The next entry in Level 5’s popular Professor Layton series has been dated for Japan. Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on February 28th. The game will cost 5,500 yen, which is the Japanese equivalent of about $63. Is it just me or is that pretty steep for a 3DS game? Anyways, early adopters will receive a bonus “lottery item”. This item could be any number of things, ranging from a gold-inspired coin to a bronze statue.

Although it has been available in Japan since 2011, the last entry in the PL series – Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask – was only just released in North America in October of last year. At that rate, I don’t expect that Azran Legacies will reach the west this year.
