The Unity Engine is Now Available for New Nintendo 3DS Developers

on January 29, 2016 4:04 PM

Expect to see an influx of Unity titles to the Nintendo 3DS. According to The Unity Blog, the New Nintendo 3DS (as well as the original Nintendo 3DS through ROM’s) can now support Unity. While not all features for the typical Unity programs are supported (specifically UNet and Shadow Maps), they hope to have those utilities running soon.

What does that mean for the everyday gamer? Expect to see a deluge of ports for games that can support lower resolution and less memory — games like Wind Up Knight 2To check out what other games are developed with the Unity, check out Unity’s portfolio of games.
