As easily the biggest of the MMO genre, World of Warcraft‘s long-awaited film adaptation is finally getting ready for the big screen next year – unfortunately, the wait will have to be just a little longer for the big screen adventures of the Warcraft universe to be seen.
In a tweet sent out by Legendary Pictures, the studio behind World of Warcraft‘s big-screen adaptation announced that the film based on the hugely-popular MMO will see a delay to June 10th, 2016, following its originally-intended release on March 11th, 2016.
Directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code), the feature film adaptation of World of Warcraft has long been in development following its original release window of December 18th, 2015, though was moved once Star Wars: The Force Awakens claimed the same release date, marking its second delay after filming for the production wrapped in May 2014.
Universal and Legendary Pictures’ film adaptation of World of Warcraft is set to release on June 10th, 2016.
