The popular Blazblue fighting series will soon get a novel adaptation released in its homeland of Japan.

The novel, dubbed Blazblue: Spiral Shift Ice Blade, consists of an origin story for series frontman Jin Kisaragi, covering events from the Ikaruga Civil War, a major event from the series’ narrative that had already occurred from the beginning of the first game, Blazblue: Calamity Trigger.

Ebten is offering a DX pack including the novel and a B2 size tapestry. It costs 2,916 yen, roughly $28 USD. The book hits Japan on October 20th. See a tapestry sample below.
