Upcoming Splatoon Splatfest Pits Art Against Science

Nintendo’s big multiplayer shooter Splatoon has been keeping fans happy with its constant updates and big tournaments, and new plans for an upcoming Splatfest have just been announced. Splatfests typically ask players to choose between on of two teams, and their performance online that weekend will go towards supporting their team.

Starting next week, players will be forced to choose between art and science to join the latest Splatfest. The tournament begins on September 18, and 9 p.m. PST. This Splatfest is for US players only, and lasts 24 hours.

The next Splatfest draws near! Next week, we pit art against science! Now, we here at the Squid Research Lab know that you’re a talented bunch of artists. We’ve seen what you can do in art contests, on Miiverse and, not to mention, all the rad fan art uploaded to Tumblr! It seems at first glance that art will have no problem taking it all. BUT! When you think about all the greats hanging out on the science side (Bill Nye! Neil deGrasse Tyson! Beakman!), it’s not hard to see how science could win this one!
