Aquaplus recently announced on its official site that Utawarerumono: The Two Hakuoro shipped 130,000 copies in its first day of sales in Japan, which is very impressive for that kind of niche game.

And there is more: today Aquaplus President Naoya Shimokawa took to Twitter to thank the fans, mentioning that the game has sold in five days more than its predecessor, False Mask, sold in a whole year.

Utawarerumono: The Two Hakuoro released in Japan on September 21st for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. It was heavily advertised on magazines (with a cover on Famitsu among others, and even a giant ad on the facade of the popular Shibuya 109 mall in Tokyo.
