Valkenhayn Finally Available On Xbox 360

Valkenhayn R. Hellsing, the second premium DLC character for 2D fighter BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is now available on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live. PlayStation owners have been able to play with and against Valkenhayn since the end of September when the DLC became available via PSN.

Since that time developer Aksys has been working steadfastly to alleviate the issues holding up the Xbox release. Gamers do get a bit of a reward for waiting patiently; from now until January 10th the character is available for the discounted price of 320 Microsoft points, after which the price will increase to 560 points. Valkenhayn makes a fine addition to the unique BlazBlue roster, utilizing tremendous speed and strength along with his werewolf transformation to devastate foes.

Like the previous DLC character Makoto Nanaya, Valkenhayn comes with his unlimited form, additional colors, theme song, trophies/achievements and challenges. Also like Makoto he cannot be used or fought in Arcade Mode, Story Mode, or Legion Mode. I believe he can be used in Score Attack Mode, but not fought. As is expected, players who have not purchased Valkenhayn can still face him in the online modes. Also, there is reportedly a problem with his achievements on the 360 but this is being remedied.
