Valve Gives Fans a Shot in the Arm with “Meet the Medic: Behind the Scenes”

If you Team Fortress 2 nuts thought the “Meet the Medic” short was awesome, just wait until you get a look at the “Behind the Scenes” entry the guys at Valve have put up on their blog.

In it, the entire process and conception of the short is described, and in an extremely interesting way. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but the original idea was to explain the origins of the Medic’s signature Medigun, not the Ubercharge. While that sounds intriguing, ultimately I’m glad we got the absolutely rad short we have now. Check it out, and be depressed that you’ll probably never work at a company as amazing as Valve.

His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
