Velocity 2X developer Futurlab just announced that the game will be released on Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux thanks to a partnership with Sierra, that will publish the game on the new platforms.

The announcement follows yesterday tease, in which the studio’s Creative Director James Marsden mentioned that he had “big” news to share today.

The developer also mentioned that despite the publishing deal, it will retain control of the IP, and that the relationship with Sierra won’t be limited to Velocity 2X.

The announcement also included a message for PlayStation fans:

What no PlayStation love?
Don’t you worry about that, FuturLab still loves PlayStation and its loyal players, and we’ll continue to work closely with Sony to make sure the fan base we’ve worked hard to build is well served.

Considering that Velocity 2X is a really lovely game, it’s great that more gamers will get to share the fun. As usual, the more, the merrier.
