Version 1.02 Update Adds New Characters, Features and Stages to Tekken Tag Tournament 2

The fantastic fighter Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is about to get even better with the forthcoming 1.02 update. In addition to correcting multiple glitches within the game, the update will also add multiple new characters and stages. I can confirm, however, that the ‘new’ characters play similarly or identically to characters already in the roster.

The new fighters are Miharu Hirano (fights like Xiayou), the butler Sebastian (fights like Lili), and Slim Bob (fights like Bob). The new stages, which I’m personally much happier about, are:¬†Extravagant Underground (Russia), Moai Excavation (Chile), Modern Oasis (Saudi Arabia), and Odeum of Illusions (Poland).

On top of all of that, the update will also add the new Online World Stage. This mode will allow players to create lobbies with several players for tournaments and such, and it will also include an expanded leaderboard. So that’s four spectacular new stages, three palette swaps and a new game mode, all for free. Namco doesn’t always do well, but they did good this time.

The version 1.02 update is available now for the PS3. It will be available for the Xbox 360 later this week. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is available now. Our full review is forthcoming. Videos showing off the new characters and stages can be viewed below.
