Virgin’s Gaming Plans to Include Online Tournaments

Ever since Richard Branson stated that he wanted go get back into gaming, the web has been full of rumors as to how he would do it. Turns out Virgin Games is not going to be into web development, but online videogame tournaments.

Virgin has just purchased online gaming site WorldGaming.com, and even has a banner set up on the site. Virgin Gaming will work with retailers and developers to promote online gaming. If a gamer purchases a copy of ModNation Racers, they will have a code they can use to enter a tournament for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas. Details can be seen by going to the VirginGaming.com website.

None of this will be official, however, until – you guessed it – E3. Richard Branson himself is scheduled to have a press conference, and knowing his history, he’ll attempt to be bigger than life.
