The internet has been a breeding ground for some of the most awesome fake trailers, comedic shorts, drama-filled fan films, and some pretty cool short series. Machinima, one of the biggest YouTube channels for video game content, is teaming with IAm8Bit once again to bring back the Machinima Interactive Film Festival, where film directors and animators can send in their greatest works and get their content featured.

The Machinima Interactive Film Festival will be looking for all kinds of submissions, and will be offering the best creators the chance to get their idea developed into a funded mini-series or feature. The purpose of the festival is to shine light on the creators who produce high quality work, both on the web to Machinima's 15 million subscribers, and a selection making it to IAm8Bit's gallery in Los Angeles at the end of the month, between November 22nd and 24th.

For more details, check out MachinimaInteractiveFilmFestival.com (that's a mouthful), where you can see this year's submissions and the 2012 showcase. You can also check out the Machinima Interactive Film Festival trailers below, which include the 2013 showcase and the 2012 festival winner, "First Person Goomba" by YouTube user pipocaVFX.
