Watch a New Playtrhrough of Star Citizen’s Impressive Procedural Planets Demo in 1080p/60 FPS

During CitizenCon, Cloud Imperium Games and Chris Roberts showcased an extremely impressive demo mostly focused on the game’s planetary tech.

Today they released a new playthrough of the same demo, without a few glitches that shown up during the livestream (because it isn’t live if something doesn’t happen), without commentary, so you can fully enjoy the audio and music, and in much crisper native 1080p/60 FPS.

Star Citizen’s planetary tech is very interesting because it mixes procedural generation with artist intervention, retaining the possibility to create hundreds of realistically sized planets in a relatively short time frame, but also granting them a more unique look thanks to the fact that artists actually take care of creating specific areas manually.

You can check out the full video below, and try not to be really impressed.
