Watch Bayonetta in Anarchy Reigns

Don’t be fooled by the Max Anarchy title here. That’s what they’re calling Anarchy Reigns in Japan. Instead, focus on the one minute and ten seconds of bullet witch the trailer embedded after the jump contains. Sega couldn’t have picked a more appropriate game for Bayonetta to cameo in, as proven by the ease with which she dispatches her foes whilst shedding her clothes piece by piece.

As with too many games these days, the bullet witch will be exclusive to new copies of the game. Buy it at retail and it comes with a code to download her. Other folks won’t be so lucky. Anarchy Reigns will be available in the U.S. July 3 with Europe getting it three days later.

In case you haven’t heard much about the game yet, it’s a beat-em-up in the vein of Sega’s MadWorld and Bayonetta. That’s probably why so many characters from either game populate the roster. The key difference here, however, is that there will be an emphasis on online play. So it’s meant to teach you the meaning of cracking skulls with friends and total strangers via the Internet. Quite the lesson there, Sega …
