Watch Mark Cerny Speak Japanese and Quite a bit of Knack’s Gameplay Footage

on August 9, 2013 5:13 AM

Mark Cerny mentions quite often that one of the reasons why he managed to score his position as the PlayStation 4’s Lead Architect is his ability to speak Japanese fluently, but have you ever seen him actually talk in the idiom of the raising sun?

Today we finally hear him speak the language of the Samurai as he introduces Knack to the Japanese audience in a new video. Turns out he’s indeed very good at it.

Of course his linguistic proficiency isn’t the only selling point of the video, as it showcases quite a lot of gameplay of the PS4’s launch title Cerny is working on, Knack.

You can enjoy the video below and see for yourself if Cerny-san’s usual charm works in Japanese as well.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
