In a rare treat, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions released a special behind-the-scenes look at Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor with actors Nolan North and Troy Baker.
Yes, that Nolan North and Troy Baker. Together. At the same time.
The two men are notably known for being, essentially, the voice of every major video game character ever. Yes, I’m exagerating, but there is a good chance that if you played any major AAA releases last generation you have likely heard them doing their thing. For fans of both actors, it is a a moment you don’t see very often, and is quite fun to see the two interacting on set and teasing each other about being rivals.
In the video the two go into detail about how they actually did performance capture for the game, with Baker portraying the main lead Talion and North portraying antagonist The Black Hand. North notes how it was fun to play a darker character in comparison to Baker, and how it allowed the two to interact in a way they never have done before for a video game.
