Watch the 17 Minute Batman: Arkham Origins Gameplay Walkthrough, Featuring the Batcave, Combat and Infiltration

An official walk-through video of the first 17 minutes of Batman: Arkham Origins has been released today, which features the Batcave, some thug stomping and the infiltration of the Gotham City Police Department.

Senior Producer Ben Mattes and Gameplay Director Michael McIntyre walks us through the beginning of the game as Batman first descends down to Gotham and takes out scores of thugs sent by the assassins on Christmas Eve. Combat looks the same as Batman: Arkham City, which is definitely not a bad thing.

I love the snow covering the normally dark city in contrasting white and that the distinctive silence a snow storm brings was reproduced so well in the game. The option of what to focus on while exploring Gotham is really interesting too–you can either try to stop the crimes being committed by the assassins’ goons or simply just focus on pursuing Black Mask himself.

The entire walk-through has been posted below, so check it out.
