Yesterday Hideo Kojima was on Sony Interactive Entertainment's Tokyo Game Show stage, and he was asked whether Metal Gear Survive was born from his idea. His answer was dismissive as best, and the Nico Nico audience almost literally exploded.

As we reported yesterday, Kojima-san explained that he's absolutely not involved with the idea, and that he sees Metal Gear Solid as political fiction and espionage, that aren't really related to zombies.

Yet, what makes it all even more funny, is seeing the reaction of the audience. Nico Nico has an unique comment system that allows users to display their comments directly scrolling on the screen, and when something causes a big reaction, the image literally fills up with those messages.

Kojima's answer is one of those cases, so much that the host actually noticed and mentioned it on stage. Most of the messages were variations of "あああああああああ," "wwwwwwwwwww" and "8888888888888." In Japanese internet slang repeated "あ" and "w" represent laughter, while "8" stands for applause.

You can see it in the video below, alongside with the reaction to Kojima-san walking on stage and shouting "Tadaima!" which means "I'm back!" since last year he did not attend Tokyo Game Show for the reason you can probably imagine.
