A large exhibition dedicated to Dragon Quest is being opened at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo to celebrate the series’ 25th anniverary. The event is being aired right now (starting at 1 PM Japan time, midnight EDT) live on Nico Nico Video.

If you’re interested in this quite peculiar event, you can watch it live following this link.

The Exhibition, open to the public from October the 8th, will be the first and exhibition dedicated to the Dragon Quest series. The main contents will include spec sheets written by the series’ creator Yuji Horii, original drawings by Akira Toriyama and the music score by Koichi Sugiyama.

Update: The event is over, and if you missed it, you can still see Dragon Quest‘s Birthday Cake in the featured picture, with Yuji Horii and friends posing awkwardly with the kodachi-shaped cutting knives.

Happy Birthday Dragon Quest!
