Weekend DealShockers: Deus Ex and SPAZ

on January 29, 2012 11:00 AM

This weekend, as every weekend, the online digital distributors for PC gaming pretend to spoil us, while really sucking up all of our money. This isn’t always such a bad thing though, as this weekend carries some of 2011’s best games for prices that should not be passed up. Especially if you haven’t played Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which was not only my personal Game of the Year for 2011, but also Alexa’s.

We’ll start off with Get Games’ weekend sale, which goes until the tomorrow at the turn of midnight GMT. Each version of Deus Ex is on sale at Get Games, beginning with the first game and Deus Ex: Invisible War on sale for 4.99 a piece. The newest game in the series, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and its excellent DLC The Missing Link are also on sale. You can get the game with the DLC for $19.48, or just get them each separately for $.50 more. If you havent played the DLC, it is on sale individually for $4.50, which is certainly worth it if you enjoyed the first game. Each of these will register on Steam, and I know that seems to be a preference for most of us.

Speaking of Steam, this weekend’s deal is the awesome Space Pirates and Zombies.  We know the creators of this expansive indie game are really cool guys, and their game is on sale for $4 this weekend. $4 is cheaper than a lot of iPhone apps, and S.P.A.Z. is big enough to get lots of gameplay for each of your four dollars.

Will you be snagging any of these deals on this lazy Sunday?

Scott just graduated from Law School. But he didn't let that stop him from gaming, a hobby that he has stuck with ever since he received his NES at age 5. His favorites are Metal Gear Solid, OutRun, Half-Life, Deus Ex, Ratchet and Clank and most recently, the Mass Effect series.
