We’re Nearing the End of Our Wait Claims This Starhawk Crunch Time Video

on March 19, 2012 4:45 PM

It’s crunch time at Lightbox Interactive in its development of the upcoming Starhawk. Check out the newest video (embedded after the jump, of course) for an inside look at what was happening at the studio during SXSW, or South by Southwest for those of you who don’t know or care about the festival where homeless people were hired to be moving wi-fi hotspots.

It appears that the arcade component of the impending title bears code lifted straight from its spritual predecessor, Warhawk. Lightbox President Dylan Jobe says so many fans loved it — 22 or 23 percent worldwide, apparently — that the studio decided to transfer the mode over to the new game in order to execute it properly.

The rest of the video is a promise to players that Lightbox Interactive will work on the game until the absolute last minute given to them by Santa Monica Studio. So there you have it: I guess these guys are just going to keep plugging away until the absolute deadline for their work comes up. Sounds like every journalist I’ve ever met.
