What-Craft? Terraria is a Undisputed Hit

Thanks to amazing word-of-mouth and hype in the days preceding the release date, Re-Logic’s Minecraft-inspired 2D adventure game Terraria has compiled some amazing numbers, selling 200,000 copies through this Tuesday, just a little over a week after it was released. I have to say, Terraria definitely deserves the hype; while it it heavily based on the Minecraft model, it does a number of things more innovatively and cleverly that I commend them for taking the inspiration and further building upon it, unlike other Minecraft clones. I’ll have a review for this soon, but for now, expect very positive things.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
