What is Geddan

I came across this the other day and thought it was a rather interesting video discussing the origin of Geddan. Geddan, which translates to “Get Down”, is a mix between video game nostalgia, dance style, art and music video. It is something that all gamers are used to seeing especially in previous generations of consoles a graphical anomaly that causes characters to spastically spin or dance in place. The glitches that occur in games at times are funny to watch or frustrating depending on when they occur, but some viewed them as beautiful. Mixing the glitched graphics with music and creating a new dance craze.

Are you going to try and make your own Geddan video now? If so remember the three basics: strike a pose. pelvic thrusts and shaking your hips. Send us your samples.
