The Wii U has been making quite a buzz since the NintendoDirect premier. With so many new features included in the next system, fans are split between loving and hating the mere concept of the device; in either case, though, both parties are going to have to wait until September to be able to weigh their pockets against Nintendo’s latest system.
Jesse Divinch of EEDAR mentioned that the delay in the Wii U’s official price announcement could be due to rumors surrounding lower pricing of the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 for the holiday season. Representative of Nintendo have been quoted that the Wii U’s price is to be determined by the end of the year, but it’s a smart move on their part to avoid an actual declaration. Waiting to see how their competitors will price their products gives Nintendo a chance to act competitively without losing too much profit.
The actual release of Wii U is anticipated to be later this year, perhaps in November, but nothing is certain as of this time. Keep checking in for more information – the Wii U might hit at any time.
