Windows 10 Mock-Up Shows How Xbox One’s Interface Could Look in 2015

on September 30, 2014 4:15 PM

Today Microsoft announced Windows 10, creating just another running joke in the industry by skipping Windows 9 altogether. Besides the gaming implications of the new operating system, which are currently unknown (gaming was mentioned only in passing in today’s presentation), there’s something for Xbox One users too.

As part of the “one part” part of the presentation, Microsoft provided the picture you can see below, mentioning that the system will run on “the broadest range of devices ever.”

As you can see, it includes mock-ups of the UI on all the different systems of the Windows family, including Xbox One on the far right. Here’s an enlarged version.

Of course, we’re looking at a mock-up, and a lot could change between now and 2015, when Windows 10 will be released and presumably implemented at least in part on Xbox One, but you can consider this a possible glimpse on the future.
