Today, Sony announced that WipEout: Omega Collection, a remastered collection that includes Wipeout HD, Wipeout Fury, and Wipeout 2048, is set to launch for PS4 on June 6, 2017 in North America, and on June 7th in Europe.

For those that don't know, the collection is being handled by Sony XDev, Clever Beans and EPOS Game Studios. According to Sony, thanks to the power and memory bandwidth of the PS4, all the textures of the game have been reworked and improved substantially. Compared to the original games, textures are now clear  to the point that you can even read some of the small text on the ships for the first time.

PS4 Pro support, which will come with 4K HDR support, has also been confirmed. It is said, the additional power of the PS4 Pro allows the game to be rendered at an incredible amount of detail at 4 times the resolution of the standard PS4. Both the standard PS4 and PS4 Pro versions will boast 60FPS.

In addition to remastering all of the sound effects, 28 licensed music tracks from famous musical artists -- such as Swedish House Mafia, Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy -- have also been added.

Each game will come with its own career mode, as well as a racebox mode which lets you tweak and customize your own races. Additionally, you can play with your friends, either with split screen local multiplayer, or online multiplayer for up to eight players. You can race in tournaments, single races, time trials or in the famous zone mode.

WipEout: Omega Collection will cost $39.99 USD when it launches. A preoder incentive -- in the form of a dynamic theme -- has also been revealed, you can check it out below along with the new release date trailer and screenshots:
