Last Fall, CD Projekt said it would not patch The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to support the PS4 Pro, letting down a few fans who were hoping to see a slightly more beautiful version of the game, which was already incredibly beautiful. At the time, CD Projekt Red said it wanted to fully focus on its upcoming game: Cyberpunk 2077. Thus, taking The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from a full HD game and turning it into a full 4K one "would be too much of a time and resource-consuming process."But I got some good news folks: the polish developer has changed its mind apparently. As you may have noticed, during Microsoft's E3 2017 presser that took place yesterday, The Witcher 3 was one of the game's that reared its head on Microsoft's stage as an "Xbox X Enhanced" title. But nothing more was said about this, or whether this meant the game would finally get a similar update for the PS4 Pro.Well it is, speaking to Eurogamer, CD Projekt Red confirmed that it is indeed working on both Xbox One X and PS4 Pro patches for the game; however, it has no extra details at the moment. The news was further confirmed by CD Projekt Red on Twitter via community leader Marcin Momot, who, when responding to a fan, confirmed said updates.
At the moment, specifics about the updates are unavailable. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt -- which has been recently announced as a recipient for a new Netflix TV series (which we casted) -- is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
