Now that Bethesda's E3 conference has passed and its biggest announcements have been revealed, we can begin to take a closer look at the most promising titles the company is soon to be offering. One title that has excitement stirring in the hearts of fans is MachineGames' Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. In a new video, the developer talks about how it intends to improve on 2014's FPS darling.

In the video below, MachineGames provides little more detail on how Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has innovated in terms of creating enemies that are more varied than your typical uniformed Nazi.

"We have bumped them up a bit. They are a little bit bigger, more intimidating, more fun to kill, I hope."

In addition to new enemy types, the team dives into some of the core gameplay mechanics that have been tweaked to make for a better overall experience, including a greater focus on stealth and the ability to dual-wield with mixed weapons.

Still, MachineGames isn't quite satisfied until they have gone completely over-the-top. When describing the inclusion of the hatchet as a newly introduced weapon, one team member mentions "There are a lot of things you can do with a hatchet and a Nazi." The imagination wanders at that point...

In the end, MachineGames has an ultimate goal in mind beyond just creating an incredible gameplay experience. When playing as BJ Blazkowicz, the developer wants you to actually feel like you are BJ Blazkowicz to the point where you'll "be ready to go out on the streets and start a revolution."

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 27, and it available for pre-order now.
