Coming in the summer of last year, Wolfenstein: The New Order took many by surprise as one of the sleeper hits of 2014 with plenty of critical acclaim to back it, and given the game's enthusiastic reception it's not entirely surprising that we may be seeing more of the franchise in the near future.

A report from Eurogamer and subsidiary Eurogamer Poland detailed that hints of a follow-up title to 2014's Wolfenstein: The New Order seem to be in the works through both developer MachineGames and publisher Bethesda Softworks, with the news reportedly coming from voice actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, who played Anya in The New Order.

Bachleda-Curuś spoke in an interview with Polish TV station TVN and mentioned to the station during the segment that "I'm working on a video game, first part of which I have already made. Now we're making a second one, which will take two more years." She also added "I played this game as a child. I was very happy when I got to the point where I could shoot Hitler."

Bachleda-Curuś' comments indicate that a new Wolfenstein title seems to be underway, though no official confirmation or word has been given on a sequel from either MachineGames or Bethesda at this time regarding a new Wolfenstein title. Until then, stay tuned for more updates here as news develops.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, while its standalone DLC title Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is also available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
