Wonderputt is the Kind of Game I Miss

on August 24, 2011 9:00 PM

Remember way back when, computers actually used to come with games other than card games, Minesweeper, and pinball? Games like Chip’s Challenge and Rodent’s Revenge defined my childhood gaming life, as they were simple, yet deep enough to be an addicting distraction.

Wonderputt, a new browser Flash game, emulates the spirit of those games almost disturbingly well. It’s a mouse-click based miniature golf game, which might not sound like much, but the creativity, ingenuity, and sheer charm that exudes from the game makes it a must-play if you used to love simple-yet-gratifying gaming experiences. Check it out here.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
