The latest issue of Famitsu magazine confirms that arrangements for the development of Persona 5 are in place and the ol' crew is back together and ready to work on a new title in the franchise, for a current generation system. What's great about this is the team that worked on Persona 4 - the exact team - is working on Persona 5, so this is going to be an awesome game, I can tell already.

The director, as in Persona 4, will be Katsura Hashino. Composer Shoji Meguro will also be returning, as will character designer Shigenori Soejima. There weren't any further details provided in Famitsu, although, if we're lucky, we'll get a first glimpse of the game at this year's Tokyo Game Show next month. No mention of a system was made, either, but given the fact that past games have always been on Sony's home consoles, it's a good bet this title will be a PS3 exclusive (although, that's what we said about Final Fantasy XIII, as well, and look how that ended up).

This image above is displayed in celebration that Persona 5 is finally confirmed. Who doesn't like the Persona 4 girls in their swimwear? C'mon! There are several SMT and Persona fans on the staff here, so you can bet when we hear more, we'll cover the news as quickly as we can.
