For those who are interested in a lively battle of tanks, the Beta Access of World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is up and ready to take applications only if you live in the United States or Canada and have an Xbox Gold account. Sorry Europeans, you have to sit and wait your turn (your turn hasn't been announced yet.)

World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition was announced during E3 2013 as a Free to Play title which will launch this year. Built specifically for the Xbox 360, the game will bring team-based tactical action to gamers around the world.

Originally a PC game, the main difference between the two versions will be the control scheme – surprise, the console edition uses a controller. There's also some interface tweaks to better suit a couch perspective.

Once the Beta is over, Silver members will be able to play the game and access all of its content for seven days, though they’ll need to upgrade if they want to continue playing beyond that introductory period.
