Shortly after midnight last night, the Blizzard community manager Bashiok posted what is likely the vanguard info on World of Warcraft's upcoming expansion, Cataclysm. Much like they did before previous expansions, they are releasing some bits of information on each class and how they will be changing once the expansion goes live. This would include mechanics changes, as well as new spells, abilities and talents. They have a schedule for releasing this information, of course, but it is coming up here quick, starting tomorrow. I've included the entire schedule below the break.

  • April 7: Shaman, Priest, Warlock
  • April 8: Warrior, Death Knight, Rogue
  • April 9: Hunter, Druid, Mage
  • April 16: Paladin

Unfortunately, it seems like a longer wait for you Paladins out there, since the class is still in deep development. I suppose that means the other nine classes are pretty much ready to go, barring any changes that might be made between now and the currently unknown release date.

I'm no expert on every single one of these classes, as I've only played four of them to high levels, but we'll definitely keep you WoW-heads out there updated on any news that comes out of Blizzard in the coming weeks or months, starting with these class changes.
