Would You Drop $600 for the Wii U?

The Australian EB Games website has made a bold move, listing a speculative price for the Wii U. According to the website, the console — of which we have only seen prototypes thusfar — can be yours for a whopping AUD $598.00.

With current market standards, that’s about $595.00 in US money. Keep in mind that this is only an estimation by EB Games, and that the Wii was only $399.95 on its release.

We’re curious: would you drop $600 on the Wii U? The technology is pretty impressive, but is it worth the same amount Sony charged for the PlayStation3 during its launch?
