Recently, we told you about Snapshot Games Inc.’s new turn-based tactics strategy game and how it had launched its crowdfunding campaign. Today, Snapshot announced that Phoenix Point’s initial crowdfunding goals have been met.

Phoenix Point began with a lofty $500,000 goal on Fig, but in only seven days, it easily met that milestone. Now, Snapshot is talking about the game’s stretch goals.

At $650,000, Phoenix Point will receive customizable vehicles, which can be used to carry troops, bring in some heavy artillery, or retrieve equipment. If the campaign brings in $850,000, the game will get a “Floating Phoenix Base” for sea travel and as a fortress for deploying air strikes.

As of now, the campaign has raised $525,781. You can watch its progress or contribute to the campaign on Fig.

Snapshot Games is calling Phoenix Point a spiritual successor to X-COM. The game’s plot tells of how the introduction of the alien Pandoravirus nearly wiped out the entire human population. Many others have been horrifically mutated into beings who may organically clone themselves. As a small band of survivors, players will be responsible for bringing humanity back from the brink of extinction.

Phoenix Point is set for a Q4 2018 launch on Windows PC, Mac, and Linux.
