Fans have known about the guest characters for the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Street Fighter X Tekken for quite a while now. There's Infamous front man Cole McGrath (who, in my opinion, is really the only one of the exclusive characters anyone cares about), as well as Kuro and Toro, PlayStation's mascots. Since Street Fighter X Tekken is a multiplatform game, there have to be some exclusive characters in store for Xbox 360 players to enjoy, right?

To the contrary, I'm afraid. SF Producer Yoshinori Ono confirmed in an interview that the Xbox 360 version of one of this year's biggest fighters will feature no console exclusive characters whatsoever. Furthermore, Ono expressed that the team really, really wanted to get some characters for the Xbox version; Marcus Fenix from Gears of War, and Master Chief from Halo were named specifically.

Unfortunately, timing and other factors meant that Capcom couldn't make it happen, effectively presenting a relevant incentive for every capable gamer to pick up the PS3 version of this title instead of the Xbox version. Ono summed up the dilemma by saying that the sequence of events was simply "Too bad". The saddest part is that it seems like Capcom really did try to be treat both versions of the equally. Oh well. The game's roster is bursting with characters as it is, throwaway console exclusive characters aside. You'll be able to take home the version of your choice on March 6th.
