In case you missed it this morning, Microsoft announced that Xbox Game Pass, it's Netflix-like subscription service, is poised to release on June 1st.

For those that don't know: Xbox Game Pass is a new gaming subscription service that grants unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and backward compatible Xbox 360 Games at the price point of $9.99 USD per month. Each month new games are introduced, while some old ones are cycled out, thus maintaining a fresh and ever-growing library of games.

Notably, Xbox Game Pass is not a streaming service like Netflix or PlayStation Now: you actually download games. Like other subscription services, you don't own anything though, rather you will always have a library of games at your fingertips as long as you are subscribed. The service also offers up discounts that include 20% on Xbox One game purchases and 10% on all related add-ons, such as season passes and DLC.  It's important to note that these discounts apply when the base game is currently in the catalog, meaning if you like it after playing it via Xbox Game Pass, you can buy it for yourself and have it perpetually.

All of that being said, Microsoft has now released a new video that serves as a walkthrough through the service. If you want, you can check out the full launch line-up that will be available on June 1st: here, or you can merely just view the new video below.

Available on both Windows 10 and Xbox One, Game Pass is only purchasable at a monthly subscription rate at the above mentioned price.
