The Xbox One has just launched in Germany and in quite a few other European countries, and the General Manager of the German branch of Microsoft's Xbox Division Oliver Kaltner has big plans for the future.

Speaking in an interview on the German finance magazine Euro am Sonntag, Kaltner mentioned that demand for the new console is already 40% higher in the strategically valuable European country than what the company can initially provide. He also added that the goal for the upcoming years is to increase the market share for the console from the current 30% to 40%.

That's quite a lofty goal, considering that continental Europe has always been, historically, fertile ground for PlayStation consoles and a bit harder to tread for Microsoft's own offering. We'll have to wait and see whether Kaltner will manage to achieve his goals or not. Everything is possible.
