Xbox LIVE App Hits iOS Devices

on December 8, 2011 1:00 PM

We told you about the Xbox Companion app that was releasing alongside the newest Xbox 360 dashboard update. Well, Microsoft isn’t leaving a single stone un-turned (unless those stones happen to belong to Google.) The company has also launched an Xbox LIVE app for iOS devices that’ll allow users to send each other messages, edit their profiles and track achievements.

The Xbox Companion app for Windows Phone 7 integrates itself a bit more with the console: Users can browse their Zune catalog, see their recently played games and even check out what’s currently running on their consoles. No word yet on whether or not there’s an app in the works for the Android Market, although there are plenty of third-party offerings.

Hm. Looks like Eric up there’s playing some Skyrim┬áin anticipation for the Rose Bowl. Bring it, Badgers.
