Many users over social media are currently reporting connectivity issues on Xbox Live, and more precisely problems with some games and social features like friend list and party chat.

On top of it all, the official status page of the service is inaccessible at the moment of this writing, displaying a runtime error.

Below you can see a screenscap from the dedicated Down Detector page, showing a spike in report, alongside my derelict social page, with my friends nowhere to be seen.

We'll keep you updated on the progress of the issues, and we'll let you know as soon as the service become available again

Update: The Xbox Live official status page has now gone up, acknowledging an issue around signing into Xbox Live, creating accounts and administering them.

Update 2: While the official status page still shows an issue, the friend list has now become available again on my end. The same can be said about online gameplay. We can assume that the problem is now on the mend, and should be solved for everyone soon.
