on October 16, 2013 4:06 PM

In the newest Xbox LIVE video (which you can view below), Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb sits down with Branden Powell, director of strategic alliance, over the specifics of what make Xbox One accessories work, and how Microsoft are working with third party companies to make their accessories as powerful as possible.

Showing off footage of the upcoming Forza 5, Powell and Hryb discuss how the newest Thrustmaster and Mad Catz steering wheels and pedals allow for highly customizable configurations through modularity, and can combine with other accessories to provide for an even more immersive experience.

Perhaps gamers can even race the new Xbox One/Mountain Dew NASCAR vehicle in a future game. For more Microsoft new, check out all of DualShockers’ Xbox coverage.

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
