Fourth of July is around the corner with many getting to enjoy the weekend, but right after gamers have a lot to look forward to with the kickoff of Microsoft's annual Ultimate Game Sale event on Xbox Live on Tuesday.

Microsoft announced its Ultimate Game Sale will begin on July 5th, 2016 (and running through July 11th), with the sale to feature over 250 deals on Xbox titles across Xbox One and Xbox 360, for both recent titles and past favorites.

Specifically, Microsoft explained that the sale will offer "savings up to 40 to 60 percent," and some titles even above that. Xbox Live Gold members will also have the added benefit of an extra 10% off on top of the discounts available. Some of the titles on offer include recent releases like DOOMDark Souls IIIQuantum Break, and other past hits like The Witcher 2: Assassins of KingsSouth Park: The Stick of Truth, and many other backwards-compatible titles.

This year's Ultimate Game Sale is also introducing Windows 10 titles into the line of discounts, with over 30 Windows 10 titles to be discounted including Rise of the Tomb RaiderQuantum Break, and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.

Along with the digital game sales on offer, Microsoft will also offer new Xbox One consoles at $279.99 for a limited time, and purchases made from the Microsoft Store will also include a free $50 gift code.

Xbox Live's Ultimate Game Sale will run from July 5th - 11th, 2016.
