Do you want to get your hands on one of those spiffy newly announced Xbox One Elite bundles coming with the Elite controller and a one terabyte solid state hybrid drive? Now you can, as it's finally available for pre-order.

You can find it at GameStop, Amazon or at Microsoft's own store. The price is the already announced $499.99, and it will ship on November 3rd.

Below you can see a couple of pictures, and a lovely 3D view, courtesy of GameStop.

Incidentally, since I've seen many get it wrong, the bundle includes a solid state hybrid drive, not a solid state drive. This means that only a small partition of the terabyte you get is a solid state cache. The rest uses a mechanical disk like your usual hard disk drive. While this still offers a nice gain in loading performance for your most used files (for instance the operating system), it's not as relevant as the speed granted by a full fledged SSD.

That is, by the way, completely unsurprising, considering that a one terabyte SSD costs about $500 on its own, while a SSHD of the same size comes at a much more affordable eighty bucks.

That said, considering the fact that Elite controller costs $150 on its own, this bundle offers definitely great value for its price.
