In the past few days Microsoft and 343 Industries have been teasing a new illustration for Halo 5: Guardians, and it turns out that it was actually the game's cover art (or its horizontal variation, to be precise).

Today they revealed the full artwork, alongside an animated teaser, that you can check out below.

It was also mentioned that the cover art features new spartans, who will "play a crucial role in the showdown between the Master Chief and Spartan Locke."

Their identities will be revealed in the upcoming months, but in the meanwhile you can check out the video and cover art below.
